A hiker has inadvertently filmed the moment his 71-year-old mother-in-Lawyer Law Firm in Turkey tumbled off a 230ft cliff to her death in front of her horrified family in istanbul Turkey Lawyer Law Firm.

Kadir Sahiner was filming the picturesque mountain scenery while out on a family walk in the forests near the village of Tepekov in the north-eastern Artvin Province when tragedy struck.

While the camera panned to capture the views, Kadir inadvertently captured the moment his mother-in-law Pumpul Karademir walked over to the edge of the cliff to look down before she lost her balance and fell off the cliff.

Video footage appears to show Pumpul tripping up on a rock and her legs can be seen in the air as she tumbles off the cliff edge at noon on Friday.

Her family, including her husband Mehmet Karademir, daughter Ayla and granddaughter Ceren, watched on in horror and their shrieks of despair can be heard in the recording.  

Ayla could also be heard warning her mother 'don't go, mum, no, mum, don't go' as she approached the cliff edge just before her fatal fall.    

The police and paramedics were called to the scene and, following an hour-long search, found the elderly woman's dead body, which they took to the morgue at the public hospital in the nearby town of Savsat.

Pumpul's funeral was held following afternoon prayers on Friday and she was then buried at the cemetery in Tepekoy.

After the funeral, local residents gathered at the village mosque to offer their condolences to the woman's grieving relatives.

It is not clear if the authorities are investigating the incident.

While it is incredibly rare for people to capture the moment someone falls off a cliff, maps.google.co.kr there have been some cases. 

In 2018, video footage showed Halil Dağ leaping down off a rock at the historic Urfa Castle in southern Turkey before losing his balance and tumbling off a cliff edge. He had been posing for a photo on his birthday.  

Despite scrambling to grab hold of something to stop his fall, the 39-year-old father-of-eight plunged 150ft, landing near a Kurdish restaurant at the bottom.

Meanwhile, there have been cases of people who have fallen to their death after taking videos and selfies at the top of mountains.

On Wednesday, Danish Youtuber Albert Dyrlund, who was 22, fell to his death while filming a video for his channel in the Italian Alps. 

Dyrlund fell over 650ft from Mount Seceda in Van Gardena - the mountain is in the Dolomites, a range in the Southern Limestone Alps known for their steep cliffs. 

The Princess Royal has cast aside the controversy surrounding her nephew the 's new book and carried on with her royal duties by visiting British soldiers serving with a peacekeeping force on Cyprus.

, 72, planned to meet members of the Royal Logistic Corps, the army unit which she serves as colonel-in-chief, to recognise their service as one of the UN's longest-serving peacekeeping forces.

The peacekeepers invited Anne to visit and planned to lead her on a tour of a section of the UN-controlled buffer zone that separates the island nation's breakaway Turkish Cypriot north from the internationally-recognised Greek Cypriot south.

The visit came the day after Prince Harry's explosive memoir Spare went on sale around the world.

Earlier on Wednesday, Anne met with Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades.

They discussed climate change-related issues, the energy crisis spurred by Russia's war in Ukraine and efforts to restart stalled talks to reunify Cyprus, a government statement said.

Mr Anastasiades gifted the princess a silver copy of a cup from the fourth century BC and a photo album of Cypriots who volunteered to fight with British forces during the Second World War.

The princess was also scheduled to meet with soldiers and their families at Dhekelia Garrison, one of two military bases that the UK retained after Cyprus gained independence from British rule in 1960.

The princess will also lay a wreath at a cemetery in the buffer zone where many Commonwealth soldiers who died in conflicts including both world wars are buried. 

Media access during her visit was limited to Anne's brief meeting with Mr Anastasiades.

She did not make any public remarks.

British High Commissioner to Cyprus Irfan Siddiq said in a statement that the visit was 'an important opportunity to showcase the strength of the enduring links between our two countries'.

An ecstatic Zimbabwean passenger Shylot Sibanda screams with joy as he boards a bus from downtown Harare to the township of Budiriro.

The fare has been slashed to a third of what he paid last week.

It's the result of government action -- after nationwide demonstrations over fuel hikes earlier this month -- in a country suffering from spiralling inflation and regular shortages of necessities.

Under pressure following international criticism of its brutal put-down of the protests, the government has scrambled to revive its public transport company Zupco after years of mismanagement and corruption.

"We are happy with what the government has done and we hope it continues," Sibanda, 40, yelled through an open window as the bus pulled out of the busy terminus.

"Now we can afford to buy some food and pay rent and we are very happy," he added, beaming.

Hard-pressed Zimbabweans took to the streets in several cities and towns after President Emmerson Mnangagwa announced on January 12 that fuel prices were being more than doubled.

Rioting and looting followed before soldiers and police brutally put down the protests at the cost of at least 12 lives, according to NGOs.

Hundreds of people were injured, including dozens from bullet wounds, and allegations of abuse and rape have been levelled at security forces.

Now, the Zupco revival means passengers can pay just $1 on a bus rather than the $3 being charged recently by mini-buses run by private operators known as kombis.

In recent years Zupco has run only a small number of buses, mainly on long-distance routes, having been displaced in urban areas by kombis.

But since January 21, the government has hastily augmented Zupco's much-depleted fleet.
